At least among people I’ve been conversing with, the Shawn Colvin show was one of the more anticipated shows of the summer — which came as a bit of a surprise to me.

Reverb reviewed the show and gives me the feeling that the folks I was talking to came away pleased:

Colvin tossed her set list over her shoulder halfway through the concert, opting for “meandering.” The audience called out requests, and Colvin obliged. Performing a long and spirited set, Colvin charmed fans with hits and also deeper tracks such as “Witchita Skyline.”
